This album was a breakthrough for me. All That I Am made me want to start singing foreal.. There was a certain mystique about this record that was special. I can close my eyes and remember ‘96 -‘97 vividly because of it. All my cousins stayed in SF on Alpha St. at the time and I spent the whole summer kickin it there. I remember staying up late at night getting each and every song down vocally. The 1st time I ever crushed hard on a chick was because of this album. I got the balls to actually go up to a her and start singing because Good Girls just related to the jones I had for her. I ended up asking her to my 1st dance and I remember the line I used too, “I hope ALL of the good girls aren’t taken yet..” LOL hella weak. A week later she became my girl.. so it was coo hahaa.
Damn, the conviction of each song was intoxicating.. and still is.
